About Me:

First took up archery in 1978 as a member of South Barwon Archers in Geelong. Shot regularly for the next 8 years until family commitments took over and saw me give archery away. In 2009 and with my family all now grown up and having some spare time to myself once again and a little spare cash decided it was time to take up archery once again. Joined Geelong Archers and bought myself a recurve and shot in the Australian masters as my first official comeback shoot and a few months later took on the club's Presidency role as this position was vacant.
Shot the recurve for around 15 months before turning to the Dark Side and now loving shooting with the wheels...mind you at age 53 I now know what they mean about "teaching old dogs new tricks" .. not easy but very satisfying when it starts to go right.
Update: After coming 2nd in both the ranking and matchplay rounds in NAS rounds #1 and 2 I was eliminated in the 2nd matchplay round in NAS Round #3.
Luckily I had enough GrandPrix points to get into the series finals where I managed to win the Gold Medal match against the most worthy of opponents in Fiona Guest(Winner of NAS Rounds # 1 and 3)
